Description

We are providing this Technical Note to inform you of the release of BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot 2018 SP1 HF3. It includes the following fixed issues:

PPP-43887 - Back port to Pipeline Pilot 2018 SP1 of an issue fixed in Pipeline Pilot 2019. This fixed an issue where servers configured with Hub Authentication would not accept passwords containing double quote or backslash characters. (Pipeline Pilot 2019 issue: PPP-42994)

PPP-43902 - Back port to Pipeline Pilot 2018 SP1 of an issue fixed in Pipeline Pilot 2019. This fixed a failure in the Pad Properties component when certain data record nodes contained international (Unicode) characters. (Pipeline Pilot 2019 issue: PPP-42928)

PCHE-7853 - Back port to Pipeline Pilot 2018 SP1 of 2 issues fixed in Pipeline Pilot 2019.

1) The FindMolecularFormat method in the PPChemAPI class MolIO was fixed to return the correct format when the input text string is encoded as UTF-8 or UTF-16. Previously, it returned UNKNOWN for the format. The VerifyMolecularFormat method now also handles input text in Unicode formats.

2) Fixed an issue where the Find Molecular Format component, and the findMolecularFormat and verifyMolecularFormat API functions, could throw an exception when the input contained non-ASCII characters (for example Kanji).

Resolution

BIOVIA released Pipeline Pilot 2018 SP1 HF3 in March 2019. and is available for download at https://software.3ds.com/. To find this hotfix, set the Release to “2018” and Level to “BIOVIA 2018 Refresh 2 Fix Level 3”.
