T62-2016: (Update 2) Recommended hiatus in making upgrades to BIOVIA Notebook 2016 and Notebook 2017

Resolution as first published on 13-Aug-2016

• BIOVIA strongly recommends that Notebook Customers temporarily halt upgrades of Notebook in your “UAT” and “Production” environments.
• BIOVIA at this time is reviewing this defect and will provide our next update by 19-Aug-2016.

Update 1 (18-Aug-2016)
As an update to the information provided on 13-Aug-2016 we are informing our customers:

• Based on our investigation into this problem ONLY UPGRADES to Notebook 2017 on SQL Server should still be put on hold.
  • BIOVIA is actively developing a Hotfix to address CELN-7365 for our Customers planning to upgrade to Notebook 2017 on SQL Server
• We have verified that the defect CELN-7365 doesn't impact upgrades to Notebook 2016 on either Oracle or SQL Server
• We have verified that the defect CELN-7365 doesn't impact upgrades to Notebook 2017 on Oracle.

Update 2 (9-Sep-2016)
As an update to the information provided on 18-Aug-2016 we are informing our customers:

• BIOVIA has released BIOVIA Notebook 2017 HF1 (Hotfix 1) to address defect CELN-7365.  As a reminder this defect only impacted UPGRADES to Notebook 2017 on SQL Server.
  • Please refer to the Product Release Document available with this release for more detail on applying this Hotfix if you are upgrading to Notebook 2017 on SQL Server.
