Background

The Notebook distribution packages contains scripts for creating database objects which may optionally be used by a Desktop Connector service instance, for example for load balancing this service. With the standard configuration, the Desktop Connector service does not use this database.

A required GRANT EXECUTE statement is missing in the script which creates the DC_GETSERVICEID stored procedure.

Workaround

New 2021 SP1 installation

After installing Notebook, execute the following statement in the Notebook database schema to add the missing grant.

GRANT EXECUTE DC_GETSERVICEID TO ELNUSER;
