T52-2017: Notebook cannot be used with latest Safari upgrade 11.0

When Notebook is accessed from Safari 11.00 a 404 server error is immediately and repeatedly reported. Consequently it is not possible to use Notebook with this version of Safari.

A similar issue was previously seen with Chrome version 60.0.3112.78 (or higher) and a related Technical Note (T44-2017) was circulated. This issue has been fixed in Notebook 2017 R2 SP4 (which is a Cloud release) and Notebook 2018. The fix also works for Safari 11.00.
Resolution:
The fix for this issue is included in Notebook 2018 which is due to be released by October 2017. We strongly advise all affected customers to upgrade to Biovia Notebook 2018.

In the meantime, providing that Safari is not already at version 11.0, it is recommended to turn off the automatic update of Safari.
