T49-2016 Release of BIOVIA Foundation 2017 HF1

BIOVIA Foundation 2017 HF1 has been released and replaces the BIOVIA Foundation 2017 on the BIOVIA download center.  BIOVIA Foundation Hub addresses 2 issues:

DAT-7893 - The initial equipment connection timeout can now be configured. The default was increased to five seconds, but you can change this value by defining a system property.
1.    Navigate to <hub install>\bin.
2.    Change the equipment timeout default:
On Windows: Run manage.bat, from the Java tab, update the Java Options parameter value –Dequipment.timeout (in milliseconds), click Apply, and OK, and then run restartService.bat.
On Linux: Edit daemon.sh, update the -Dequipment.timeout section in JAVA OPTS (in milliseconds), save, and restart the service: sudo ./daemon.sh restart.

DAT-7891 - Fixed a transient connectivity issue with the Oracle database that could cause some background operations to fail and continue failing until the Hub was restarted.


 
Resolution:
BIOVIA strongly recommends updating to BIOVIA Foundation 2017 HF1 as DAT-7891 can prevent the synchronization job between BIOVIA Foundation Hub and Pipeline Pilot from running.  If you cannot upgrade your BIOVIA Foundation 2016, you will need to perform manual synchronization through the Pipeline Pilot Administration Portal.  Please contact BIOVIA Support for more information.
