T38-2016: Release of Discovery Studio 2017 HF1

Description
The following defect was found in the Discovery Studio 2017 release:

DSC-26195: Protocols containing HTML components where molecules are converted to images do not complete successfully. Often such protocols produce an error similar to "Server Error Report: Invalid memory reference. (Address 0x9bd56) Address not mapped. Process abort signal" when run from the Discovery Studio Client or 'No Server Process' when run from the Pipeline Pilot Client. This only occurs on Linux servers with KDE Desktop installed.

The released DS Protocols where the problem occurs are:
Analyze Activity Effects using MMPs
Find Activity Cliffs using MMPs

However any custom protocol containing HTML components where molecules are converted to images such as the HTML Table Viewer, HTML Report Viewer or HTML Report Writer components could also fail under these circumstances on a DS Server.

Windows servers are not affected by this defect.

Resolution:
Discovery Studio 2017 HF1 has been released to fix the above defect.

If you encounter an issue running the Analyze Activity Effects using MMPs or Find Activity Cliffs using MMPs protocols or any custom protocol with the HTML viewer or writer component, you have two options to resolve the problem. You may either install the Hotfix OR you may remove the following library from each existing server installation: <Pipeline Pilot installation>/apps/scitegic/dscore/server/lib64/libQtNetwork.so.4 and restart the service by executing <Pipeline Pilot installation>/linux_bin/restartserver.

NOTE: There is no need take these steps if you are using a Windows server or you do not have the KDE Desktop installed.
