T15-2017: BIOVIA LES User Administration in Security Manager

LES

In order for an LES user to administer other LES users they must have all of the following:
 
Eligibilities:
 
Security Manager > Register User
Security Manager > Update User
Security Manager > In/Activate User
 
Permissions:
 
The LES administrator must have Read/Write, (RW) Rights to all Security Attributes the LES user has Assigned Permissions to. 
 
Note: A wildcard, *,  can be used to give Read/Write, (RW) Rights to the administrators for each Security Attribute.  If the Administrator however has Read Only, (RO) or No Rights, (NR)  to any of the Security Attributes, the wildcard will NOT override this and the Security Attributes will need to be set to Read/Write, (RW) to allow that user to be updated.

If a user is created that does not have any Assigned Permissions an administrator that does not have a wildcard value for all the Security Attributes, the user will not be seen in the Registered Users list.  This is seen when a user is synchronized over from a LIMS system.  For this reason BIOVIA recommends that users be created in LES and synchronized over into LIMS.
