T14-2024 BIOVIA Workbook: Post upgrading to 2024, experiments in workflow can’t be transitioned any longer

Post upgrading to BIOVIA Workbook 2024, users observe problems related to Workflow. 

When they attempt to perform a workflow transition, the action seem to complete successfully, but no transition occurs. There are no errors in the client or the Vault logs. It occurs only for documents already part of a workflow. New documents can be transitioned without a problem.

Suggested Workaround: The work around strategy is to re-deploy all old workflows using BIOVIA Workflow designer. After that the documents need to be re-added to those workflows using the Symyx.Workflow.Utility.exe. For concrete steps and the option to do it for a larger amount of documents, please contact BIOVIA Support. 

Fix in Code: This is logged as defect NBK-35605. The defect has been marked as fixed in code under active development slated for the next hotfix release.
