T14-2019: Preparation Section Data Refreshing Records on Audit History in BIOVIA Workbook
Multiple Preparation sections may create audit trail entries that are not produced by user actions.
This behavior appears when a subsequent preparation section is added and then used in an earlier preparation section's components. Extra audit history records are produced as the experiment is being opened into the editor. This anomaly shows two extra audit history records for each time the experiment is opened. The first audit entry shows the original data field value being cleared and the second audit entry shows the data field being reset to the original value.
An Example:
Preparation section A (PA) is added to an experiment and then Preparation section B is added to the same experiment. If a preparation in PA has as a component a preparation from PB, you will get two lines for each similar occurrence of this scenario in the Audit History when the next experiment opened and edited. The first line of the audit history will say the original value has been set to <empty> and the second line will say that the <empty> value has been set to the original value.
Resolution:
A solution to this issue is currently being tested in BIOVIA Workbook 2019 SP1 and it will also be added to Workbook 2018 SP1 as a Hot Fix. The defect was that the auditing of the internal activities are blocked as the section is being added to the editor but going across sections the auditing of the section was opened up prematurely (NBK-30094).
