Background

Workshare (Compare) Server is a single server license product that integrates with EDMS Document Management (DocCompliance / MyQUMAS). The integration facilitates document comparisons between document versions.  This functionality has been provided by a third party application (Workshare)

Workshare Server will be removed from the EDMS media set from R2024x Golden release onward and any support for customers using existing releases at that time will revert to ‘best efforts’.

Solution

New functionality has been included within EDMS from release R2021x Refresh01 forward to provide a comparison between documents without the use of Workshare Server.  Any customer who has upgraded EDMS to version R2021x Refresh01 or later (i.e. after May 2021) will have this alternative functionality available with no change to the user interface.  There is no further need to pay maintenance on the WLY product.
