T02-2019: Steps to Configure BIOVIA Request 2018 SP1 HF1 with BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot 2019

After upgrading BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot Server to Version 2019, the Request Package is uninstalled from Pipeline Pilot Server. This issue has been logged as a defect (issue number WKR-13810).
Resolution:
Please note the following steps to re-install the Request 2018 SP1 HF1 Package into Pipeline Pilot 2019 Server. NOTE: In a load balanced environment of Pipeline Pilot Server and Request, these steps must be performed on each Pipeline Pilot Server that is configured for Request.

Pre-requisites:
A. BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot Server Version 2018 SP1 and Request Version 2018 SP1 HF1 are installed.

B. Installation Files for BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot Server Version 2019: Extract the content from "BPP2019.7z".

C. Installation Files for BIOVIA Request 2018 SP1 HF1 Installer: Extract the content from "Request_2018SP1HF1.zip".

D. In the folder where Pipeline Pilot Server is installed, such as, "C:\Program Files\BIOVIA\PPS\apps\scitegic\workrequest\lib\classes\", please backup the following four files.
bootstrap.xml
bootstrap-32-upgrade.xml
VaultConfiguration.xml
hibernate.oracle.cfg.xml

E. In the folder where Pipeline Pilot Server is installed, such as, "C:\Program Files\BIOVIA\PPS\web\tomcat\conf\", please backup the following files.
requestmgmt.aep-security.properties
requestmgmt.dashboard.properties
requestmgmt.notification.properties
requestmgmt.smtp.properties

Installation Steps:
1. Navigate to the folder in which you have extracted the content of the BIOVIA Request 2018 SP1 HF1 Installer ("Request_2018SP1HF1.zip").
(a) From the Request installer folder, "\webapplicationinstaller\packages\", copy the file, "scitegic_workrequest.pib", to the folder in which you have extracted the content of the BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot Server Version 2019 Installer, namely, "\BPP2019\packages\".
(b) This step ensures that the Request Package is present in the set of Packages that will be deployed when you run the installer for Pipeline Pilot Server Version 2019.

2. Navigate to the folder for the installation files for Pipeline Pilot Server Version 2019, “\BPP2019\bin\”. Double-click the file, "scitegicsetup.exe", to run the installer for Pipeline Pilot Server Version 2019.

3. During the installation of Pipeline Pilot Server Version 2019, in the dialog box, "Select products to install", under "Applications", ensure that Request Version 18.1.101.2112 is listed.

4. Complete the installation of Pipeline Pilot Server Version 2019.

5. Navigate to the folder where Pipeline Pilot Server is installed, such as, "C:\Program Files\BIOVIA\PPS\apps\scitegic\workrequest\lib\classes\". Cut the following four files from this folder and paste them into a different folder for backup. Add the four backup files from Pre-requisites Step D.

bootstrap-32-upgrade.xml
VaultConfiguration.xml
hibernate.oracle.cfg.xml

6. Navigate to the folder where Pipeline Pilot Server is installed, such as, "C:\Program Files\BIOVIA\PPS\web\tomcat\conf\". Cut the following files from this folder and paste it into a different folder for backup. Add the backup files from the Pre-requisites Step E.

requestmgmt.notification.properties
requestmgmt.smtp.properties

7. Restart the Pipeline Pilot Services.

8. Login to the Pipeline Pilot Admin Portal.

9. In "Reports > Installed Packages", ensure that there is a Package called "workrequest", with Version 18.1.101.2112, which corresponds to Request 2018 SP1 HF1.

10. Verify and confirm that BIOVIA Request is working as expected.
