Description
The impersonation setting on Linux is ignored for any protocol execution and the scisvr process remains owned by the user that owns the Apache process, rather than assuming the effective uid of the client user.

This will lead to problems with file access permissions from within Pipeline Pilot protocols, among other symptoms.

Resolution:
Customers who are considering installing Pipeline Pilot 2018 on Linux or upgrading an existing server to this version and who wish to use Impersonation should postpone installation of Pipeline Pilot 2018 until the release of Pipeline Pilot 2018 SP1. This version is tentatively scheduled for release in March of 2018.

In the event that there is an urgent need to upgrade Pipeline Pilot to version 2018 prior to the release of Pipeline Pilot 2018 SP1, please contact BIOVIA Support.
