The Program:

At Medidata, interns will have the opportunity to accelerate their careers by working closely with experienced professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. By being a part of our global organization, interns have the opportunity to work alongside our talented and committed professionals helping them to build a strong foundation for achieving their career goals. For 12 weeks, beginning May 18, 2026, interns will have an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of what it means to be a Medidatian. United around a single goal of empowering smarter treatments and healthier people. Medidatians work in a culture of curiosity, innovation and fun. You will be contributing to the line of business with sustainable and meaningful work.

Our Summer Internship program also includes instructor led training, guided mentorship, exposure to senior leadership and community service. In addition to individual and specific related responsibilities, each intern will participate in our Intern Innovation Lab. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will work closely to develop an innovative solution to a business problem currently facing Medidata. As they work diligently to present their final solutions to a panel of top Medidata leaders, we are confident that our interns will make a significant impact on our business.

About the Team:

We are seeking a Social Media summer intern to support the Social Media Marketing team with the optimization and visibility of the Medidata corporate social media channels. You will work closely with the team to refine the searchability and accessibility of our campaigns and activations, enhancing performance and increasing followers. You're someone who is greatly interested in social media strategy, enjoys building bridges and actively engaging with a thriving online community, and always keeps up with the latest trends to stay relevant.

Responsibilities:

             Exceptional organizational, project, and relationship management skills

             Strong attention to detail; writing, proofreading and editorial experience a must

             Bachelors in Communications/PR/English/social media marketing

             Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and hands-on

             Exceptional creativity and pulse on latest social trends (especially relatable memes, satire, and raw, unpolished content) and best practices

             Experience prompting GenAI, especially Gemini, to accelerate productivity and improve workflows

             Experience navigating and handling daily, weekly, and monthly community management, and promoting UGC (user-generated content)

             Experience handling SSO (social search optimization), AEO (answer engine optimization), and/or SEO implementation and best practices

             Experience creating content (filming and editing) for Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, and YouTube Shorts required

             Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and confident in ability to work across various disciplines and stakeholder groups

Qualifications:

             Support the management of Medidata social media corporate channels (with a focus on YouTube and Instagram)

             Drive community engagement and interaction through the sourcing of comment threads, reposts, and discussions across all social channels

             Develop social graphics, Instagram Reels, Instagram Story templates, YouTube Shorts, and other dynamic visual assets for social posts

             Conduct relevant industry competitor, awareness day, and algorithm research, ensuring strategies and best practices are up to date

             Collaborate with various global content contributors – including internal and external stakeholders – to integrate with social media campaigns and editorial calendars

             Support team logistics, including processing internal and external submissions, project management, and analytics reporting

             Focus on activities that will support Global Marketing initiatives and meet overall business goals

             Rising or graduating senior

             Social media/digital marketing experience a plus

             Previous experience working in communications/public relations a plus

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base hourly pay range for this position is $25 an hour.

Transparence salariale

La rémunération pour ce poste sera proportionnelle à l'expérience. La fourchette de rémunération totale prévue se situera entre 25$ et 25$ comprenant le salaire de base (ou le salaire annualisé basé sur une rémunération horaire estimée) et le bonus cible.
