RTR Accountant

Role Responsibilities & Job Description:

• Support General Ledger accounting activities including journal preparation and account reconciliations for Asia business units. 
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, including financial reporting to local entities and HQ. 
• Oversee tax compliance activities including Corporate Income Tax, VAT/GST, WHT filings, tax reporting, and reconciliations across APAC entities. 
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate accounting policies. 
• Coordinate and support statutory, internal, and external audit processes, liaising with auditors and key stakeholders. 
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, regional projects, and ad-hoc assignments while collaborating effectively across teams.
   

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a general accounting role within an MNC or Shared Services environment, with regional APAC exposure. 
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with professional certifications such as ACCA or CPA preferred. 
• Proven experience managing end-to-end statutory audits, including annual financial statements and tax submissions. 
• Strong knowledge of APAC Local GAAP, statutory accounting, and taxation requirements across multiple jurisdictions; hands-on ERP system experience is essential, with ERP implementation exposure highly regarded. 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English and Mandarin; additional Asian language capabilities such as Japanese or Korean are advantageous. 
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated professional with a strong process control mindset, analytical thinking, and solid accounting and taxation expertise.
