INTERNSHIP: AI Simulation Cloud Engineer
Role and Responsibility
Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA R&D Cloud Team is looking to hire an AI Software Intern who will be located in Johnston, RI and will work with the AI Applications team to develop new and innovative technology in the field of machine learning and generative AI for the SIMULIA family of products.
As an intern within the SIMULIA R&D Cloud Team, you contribute to delivering best-in-class simulation applications and technologies for simulating Product, Nature and Life in the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and on the Cloud. You will have the opportunity to experience the full software development lifecycle, while remaining focused upon a certain aspect of this cycle to gain in-depth knowledge.
You will be learning and working in a very fast paced environment, handling multiple tasks and assignments. Specifically, learning Web application development and Cloud Infrastructure. Developing expertise in service technologies specific to Grid.
- Applying knowledge gained in computer science/Engineering courses to real-world problems.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution to solve problems.
- Developing scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Designing the software system, describing the specifications in technical terms
- Coding, compiling and running unit tests according to Implement processes
- Keeping abreast of the latest technological developments, understanding the requirements of our development partners, knowing about competing products
- Knowledge for AI and ML is a plus
Qualifications
- Actively engaged in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related disciplines
- Possesses hands- on experience with cloud infrastructure, AWS, Azure or others
- Possesses hand- on experience with AI/ML
- Demonstrates experience writing code fixes and tools to solve problems in one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Java or Python (e.g., remove duplicate elements from a list).
- Possesses experience with linear coding and use language features when necessary (e.g., data structures, branching, function-calls, and conditionals).
This is a paid 6-month internship with a flexible start early in 2027. Your work schedule can be tailored to balance both your internship and your academic schedule. First 3 months mat be full time up to 40 hrs a week or the entirety of the 6 months may be part time up to 30 hrs a week. This position is based at the Dassault Systemes office located at 1301 Atwood Ave, Johnston, RI and there is NO REMOTE offered for this role.

La rémunération pour ce poste sera proportionnelle à l'expérience. La fourchette de rémunération totale prévue se situera entre 22$ et 32$ par heure.
