The backbone of the CATIA V5 Analysis solution DELMIA - Generative Part Structural Analysis 2 (MGS) is the backbone of the V5 analysis portfolio. As such, this core application is the entry point to all analysis tools: CATIA - Generative Assembly Structural Analysis (GAS), CATIA - Generative Dynamic Response Analysis (GDY), CATIA - Elfini Structural Analysis (EST), CATIA - FEM Surface (FMS) and CATIA - FEM Solid (FMD). / The unique set of analysis tools built on GPS fits the needs of any skill level, from designers to specialists. No boundary between design and analysis DELMIA - Generative Part Structural Analysis 2 (MGS) is an easy-to-use tool tailored to designers and design engineers. As a result of the native CAD/CAE integration, users can easily perform stress and displacement analysis of designs, using a consistent user interface, at any time in the design process. Structural analysis can be performed on solid, surface and wireframe geometries. The association of analysis specifications, such as loads and restraints, with the design ensures users to work quickly and consistently. Users can size and validate their designs early in the development cycle, saving time and improving quality. Straightforward definitions and simplifications Through a simple selection of geometric features, designers can define how a part is restrained and loaded. These specifications are then automatically incorporated into the finite element model, allowing users to avoid working with complex Finite Element Model definitions. / Users can also fix the analyzed portion on a "virtual" part. With this technological feature, a fastening, force, ormomentum, in various modes such as rigid or smooth, can be transmitted. Extended vibration analysis DELMIA - Generative Part Structural Analysis 2 (MGS) can simulate the effects of modal vibration. Users can define additional masses, such as point masses, linear mass density, and surface mass density. Designers can choose the number of vibration modes to be computed and animate the results. Direct and dynamic results review Generative Part Structural Analysis 2 (GPS) helps designers understand the results of an analysis by graphically displaying areas of high stress and displacement. Detailed analyses on complex parts can be handled in an intuitive and interactive manner. This includes dynamic cross-sectional displays of contours. Values such as Von Mises stress criteria, displacement, and principal stresses are mapped onto the deformed 3D part. Controlled accuracy If needed, the user has the ability to create, modify and remove the FEM's elements and their properties, which are automatically generated. The user controls the size of the mesh on the entire part, or on a specific area. Users can also employ linear or parabolic elements based on the required precision. High performance Using the latest version of the sparse solver tool, users can minimize the amount of consumed memory and, therefore, perform large analyses quickly. Productive analysis through easy and fast computation on large models Launch simultaneous computations on different processes easily, without having to go through complex VISUAL BASIC macro definitions. Users can simultaneously perform large model computations while continuing to work on other processes, greatly increasing user productivity. Report generation Reports can be automatically generated in HTML format. These reports provide clear and detailed information about the results of the analysis, including images associated with computations. This information is already structured for direct distribution and prompt interpretation for appropriate diagnosis by all readers. In addition, you can save time by re-using previously generated results for further analysis. Knowledge-based technology You can capture the knowledge associated with your design analysis and perform optimization. The generative analysis specifications are recognized as knowledge parameters called sensors , providing measures that can be re-used. Thereby you will be able to set rules, checks, and formulas to use best practices and ensure compliance to corporate standards. Seamless analysis data management within PLM The V5 Analysis' users benefit naturally from the overall PLM Solution provided by Dassault Syst mes including ENOVIA V5 and SMARTEAM for data and product lifecycle management. Thus, directly from CATIA V5 and at the various stages of the product development cycle, designers and analysis specialists can store, manage, version, share within the extended enterprise all the data related to their products' simulation. This unique referential leverages collaborative work giving access to advanced PLM practices such as concurrent engineering and change management. |
