Business Analyst
Role Description & Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst serves as the analytical engine of the North America Business Planning team. Working side-by-side with our Industry Business Planners, you will turn data into insight, transform spreadsheets into decisions, and help shape the strategies that drive revenue growth and market share gains across our industry portfolio. Rather than owning a single industry vertical, you will work horizontally partnering with every Industry Business Planner on the team to deliver the market analyses, financial models, and competitive intelligence that fuel their go-to-market (GTM) plans.
This role is purpose-built for early-career professionals who are eager to learn and excited to apply modern tools — including AI, machine learning, generative AI, and AI-assisted coding — to real business problems. You will sharpen your strategic thinking, build a foundation in B2B enterprise software strategy, and develop the analytical, technical, and storytelling skills that power senior planning roles. Enterprise software experience is helpful but not required; curiosity, analytical horsepower, and a builder’s mindset are.
- Partner with Industry Business Planners across all verticals — including Automotive, Industrial Equipment, Aerospace & Defense, High-Tech, and others — to provide analytical support, market research, and financial modeling
- Build and maintain macroeconomic, market, and competitive analyses that inform 1- and 3-year strategic plans across the territory
- Support the annual sales planning exercise: territory analysis, account scoring, target setting, capacity modeling, and revenue plan build-out across all sales distribution channels
- Develop financial models and tools to support revenue planning, performance analysis, and other items to improve insights and business decisions
- Design and maintain dashboards, automations, and analytical tools that scale the productivity of the Business Planning team
- Apply AI, machine learning, and generative AI tools to accelerate research, automate repetitive workflows, and surface insights at greater speed and scale
- Use AI-assisted coding (Python, SQL, scripting) to prototype analytical tools, automations, and data workflows — even if you are still learning to code, AI copilots will be your collaborator from day one
- Conduct ongoing competitor intelligence: monitor competitor moves, win/loss patterns, pricing dynamics, and market positioning; package findings into clear narratives for Sales and leadership
- Support the identification of priority accounts and OEM/supply-chain ecosystem networks that anchor our growth ambitions
- Synthesize macroeconomic, industry, and account-level data into briefings, decks, and recommendations for Sales Directors, Industry Business Planners, and senior leadership
- Contribute to the feedback loop with global Market Intelligence and Industry teams, surfacing North America–specific dynamics and trends
- Proactively propose enhancements to our planning processes, methods, and content — fresh ideas welcome
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, or similar)
- 5–8 years of experience in business analysis, strategy, finance, market research, sales operations, or a related analytical role preferred
- Master’s degree or MBA is a plus, but not required
- Demonstrated interest in AI, machine learning, analytics, or modern data tooling — through coursework, side projects, certifications, or prior work — is highly valued
