Learn how EXALEAD is helping its customers capitalize on exciting Big Data opportunities – now!
Despite the hype, make no mistake about it: Big Data is here. It’s real. And it’s bringing exceptional opportunities to drive innovation, ramp up productivity, and create groundbreaking new user experiences.
What is Big Data? More than just “a really big data collection” (a day-to-day reality for decades in many industries), Big Data refers to data that is so voluminous, variable and/or fast moving that it is too expensive or complex to process, store, access and analyze using conventional technologies.
Now, however, evolving technologies and frameworks like Cloud computing, non-relational (NoSQL) databases, data visualization and search-based applications (SBAs) are, for the first time, making it economically and technically feasible for organizations of all sizes and types to harness Big Data to drive innovation and productivity.
Of all these enabling technologies, the SBA model represents the safest, easiest, and most cost-effective way to rapidly extract business value from Big Data. EXALEAD SBAs have, as a matter of fact, been enabling businesses to capitalize on Big Data opportunities for years—without changing their existing infrastructure—though EXALEAD is also an ideal complement to emerging Big Data technologies like Hadoop.
Despite these pragmatic benefits, the role of search technology in Big Data environments is too often overlooked or misunderstood, especially considering that SBAs are the only technology explicitly designed for rapidly deploying business applications on top of Big Data, rather than just performing deep-dive analytics.
This seminar will therefore shed light on the important role of search and SBAs in Big Data environments while giving you a better understanding of the basic issues, opportunities and technologies associated with Big Data.
Through the use of real-world case studies, we will show how EXALEAD customers are using SBAs built on all types and combinations of unstructured and structured data to exploit Big Data opportunities right now, with projects encompassing:
Automated database enrichment
Real-time operational reporting
High-impact, process-specific business applications
