Systems & Storage Engineer (AIX Administrator)

In our APAC IT organization, we are looking for a motivated System and Storage Engineer who will be technically spearheading the AIX and Linux infrastructure.
You will primarily be part of APAC System and Storage team to plan and implement evolutions in terms of internal IT Infrastructure technologies. You will also be part of multiple projects around Linux & AIX Infrastructure and will support the APAC business needs.
Your base location will be Dassault Systemes Pune campus in India and you will work closely with a geographically distributed team across the continents.

Role Description & Responsibilities:

•    Expert-level administration and support of IBM AIX environments across multiple sites, with working knowledge of Linux administration. Strong hands-on experience with IBM AIX (7.x) administration.
•    Manage and administer IBM Power Systems, including HMC (Hardware Management Console), PowerVM virtualization, VIOS (Virtual I/O Server), and LPAR provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
•    Perform AIX operating system installation, patching, upgrades, migrations, and firmware updates for IBM Power infrastructure.
•    Experience with NIM (Network Installation Manager) for AIX deployment and maintenance.
•    Working knowledge of Linux (RHEL/SUSE) administration.
•    Configure and manage virtual resources using PowerVM technologies, including CPU, memory, virtual adapters, NPIV, and vSCSI.
•    Own L2/L3 support queues and ensure all incidents and service requests are resolved within defined SLAs.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve complex AIX, IBM Power, VIOS, HMC, storage, and Linux-related issues independently or in collaboration with global teams.
•    Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to understand business requirements and deliver timely infrastructure support.
•    Coordinate with remote IT teams for installation, replacement, and commissioning of IBM Power servers and associated infrastructure.
•    Monitor system health, capacity, and performance, proactively identifying risks and recommending upgrades or replacements to ensure business continuity.
•    Maintain and continuously improve operational standards, documentation, and best practices for AIX and Linux environments.
•    Coordinate with business leaders to understand and meet their expectations.
•    Ensuring adherence to Cyber Security Policy, security standards/procedures/guidelines in all daily activities

Qualifications:

•    B. Tech / B.E (CS / IT / E&TC) from premier institutions with good academic track records.
•    Overall Industry experience of 2-3 years in the AIX & Linux Administration
•    Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience on managing technologies like AIX & Linux infrastructure
•    Good hands-on experience in troubleshooting issues around like AIX & Linux, environment.
•    Expert Knowledge on PowerShell, rest API etc. will be an added advantage
•    Must have Soft Skill
•    Experience in working in an international team
•    Experience on an SLA oriented ticketing tool
•    Strong Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot or get things done.
•    Adaptability, ability to learn faster, independent, responsible and diligent.
•    Good team spirit and interpersonal skills
•    Excellent written & verbal communication skills and analytical skills
•    Achieves performance goals and objectives in line with the team strategy.
•    An Evangelist in terms of cyber security and its latest happenings around the globe
