About the Team:

As the Senior Director, Growth Marketing - leading an Experience Campaign, you will report to the VP of Growth Marketing Campaigns, and lead a team of growth marketers in support of the Medidata brand and Life Sciences Engagement (LSE) portfolio of brands. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the creation, execution, and measurement of a Data, Study or Patient Experience specific demand generation program globally to drive leads and opportunities. The successful candidate will be a leader in program development and possess exceptional creativity, collaboration, relationship building, and managerial skills, along with the ability to innovate and scale.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute integrated demand generation programs utilizing a variety of channels including outbound Business Development programs, email, events, webinars, social media initiatives, and digital/inbound marketing programs
  • Engage Product Marketing and Solution Sales Specialist teams on solution-specific programs, messaging, asset development, and annual planning 
  • Work closely with the Brand, External Communications, Digital Marketing, and Event teams to ensure alignment with awareness campaigns and demand level tactics
  • Serve as the Study Experience marketing point-of-contact on cross-functional teams including campaign development, product launches, etc.
  • Measure and report performance against established metrics and KPIs including name acquisition, content engagement, and pipeline generation
  • Lead an Experience Marketing team with an emphasis on developing and retaining talent
  • Up to 20% travel; across US and EMEA 
  • Position based in NYC office, with a minimum of 3 days in the Medidata New York office

Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge and experience in building and executing B2B Enterprise SaaS marketing plans and programs utilizing email, webinars, digital/inbound marketing, social media and events
  • Well-rounded marketer with proven ability to build and deploy robust multi-channel program plans with demonstrated growth and success
  • Ability to think strategically and see the bigger picture, weaving program plans into the global marketing plan
  • Superior communication skills with demonstrated ability to navigate a complex organization and generate buy-in for ideas and plans 
  • Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind
  •  Self-starter exhibiting agility with ability to thrive in a test, learn, optimize environment
  • Proven skills and metrics that demonstrate growth across multiple digital platforms
  • Proven ability to lead a team and develop talent 
  • Ability to be innovative with respect to program creation and problem resolution, and process-oriented with respect to marketing operations and execution workflows

Your Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field 
  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience in field marketing, demand generation, or marketing program role supporting a direct sales force 
  • Strong B2B / enterprise software industry experience
  • Experience in tech, life sciences industry, and/or clinical development area preferred 
  • Prior experience managing a team of 2-4

 

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $160,000 to $180,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
