RTR Team Lead

Role Responsibilities & Job Description:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of RTR Accountants across APAC entities, managing workload allocation, performance expectations, and team capability growth 
• Own and review the end-to-end RTR lifecycle including GL accounting, month-end/quarter-end/year-end close, and financial reporting to local entities and HQ 
• Oversee tax compliance activities including Corporate Income Tax, VAT/GST, and WHT filings across multiple APAC jurisdictions 
• Lead the full statutory audit process from planning through to CFO-level presentation, coordinating with auditors and key stakeholders across the region 
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, internal controls, and corporate accounting policies, maintaining and strengthening the team's control framework 
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, own RTR SOPs and process design, and lead regional projects and ERP enhancements in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Qualifications:

•  Minimum 10 years of general accounting experience within an MNC or Shared Services environment, including at least 2 years of direct people management, with strong regional APAC exposure 
• Degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA or CPA certification preferred 
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end statutory audits, including annual financial statement preparation and tax submissions across multiple jurisdictions 
• Strong knowledge of APAC Local GAAP, IFRS, and multi-jurisdiction taxation requirements; hands-on ERP experience essential, with implementation exposure highly regarded 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English and Mandarin; Japanese or Korean is advantageous 
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated leader with strong process control mindset, analytical rigour, and the ability to operate confidently at senior stakeholder level
