We are currently hiring for an exciting opportunity as a Intern (m/f/d) – Industry Process Consultant to join our SIMULIA Industry Process Consultant Team.

The team is responsible for developing a user-friendly graphical interface (GUI) for Bioreactor simulation using SIMULIA and the 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) platform.  Your role focuses on making advanced Bioreactor simulations more accessible to scientists, enabling them to set up models, adjust parameters, and analyze results without requiring deep simulation expertise. You will assist in integrating SIMULIA’s powerful tools within the 3DX platform, enhancing usability through intuitive workflow automation and visualization.

This position provides hands-on experience in simulation-driven research, user-centric design, and digital innovation in biotechnology.

In this dynamic setting, you'll gain hands-on experience in an interdisciplinary environment, contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions. Role Description & Responsibilities

  • You will design the layout and functionality of the GUI based on user and project needs
  • You will develop and code the GUI using tools such as Python, C++, or 3DX-specific scripting frameworks
  • You will integrate the GUI with existing SIMULIA simulation models on the 3DX platform
  • You will automate workflows to streamline model setup, parameter adjustment, and result analysis
  • You will test and optimize the interface for usability and performance
  • You will document the design, functionalities, and user guidelines for the GUI

Qualifications

  • You are currently a Bachelor's or Master's student in Computer Science, Bioengineering, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • You have programming experience in C/C++ and/or Python
  • You have experience with GUI development (e.g., PyQt, Tkinter, JavaFX, or web-based interfaces)
  • You have solid understanding of Linear Algebra and Probability/Statistics
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (SIMULIA/3DEXPERIENCE knowledge is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • A user-focused mindset with attention to intuitive design
