About the Team:

Owns the Medidata Technical Content Management functional area. Lead the strategy, scope, fulfillment partnerships, and continuous improvements associated with our technical content development and delivery operation.

Responsibilities:

  • People Manager for Medidata Global Education’s centralized Technical Content Strategy team.  

  • Direct and enable the team to deliver on-time, quality-correct product technical documentation in support of Medidata product releases.For example: release notes, In-App online Help, self-service knowledge articles, API documentation, system messages.

  • Partner with Medidata strategic leaders to identify and close gaps in technical documentation enablement for all learner personas. 

  • Identify and expand cross-org synergies to create a unified, impactful learning experience for all learner personas.

  • Work acrossMedidata teams to identify and deliver operational efficiencies that power the targeted deliverables.

  • Enable and grow talent to develop a partnering, deep pool of technical content strategists.

  • Innovate to reflect and adopt industry best practices and to expand the product technical content value-add impact to customer and business success.

Qualifications:

  • 11 years minimum experience as a global Director, Technical Content Management (or related role) in a clinical trial operations context – producing end user technical documentation and associated learning enablement assets & partnering with Product, Professional Services, Customer Success, and other Medidata stakeholder teams.

  • 10 years minimum experience as a People Manager for a large Technical Content Management team – consisting of both remote and onsite talent

  • 11 years minimum experience designing technical content and associated learning solutions in a Life Sciences or Clinical Trial Operations context.

  • Master’s Degree in Technical Content Management or a related discipline or equivalent years of experience

  • Proficient in Technical Content design, information mapping, human-centered design, Articulate Storyline, Confluence, Google Workspace (G Suite), PhotoShop, Camtasia, Simplified English, Accessibility, JIRA/agile practices, and localization readiness best practices

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $135,000 to $180,000. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $141,750 to $189,000. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $118,500 to $158,000. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Area is $132,750 to $177,000.The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $120,750 to $161,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
