Commercial & Business Intelligence Analyst
Role Description & Responsibilities
Contribute to the Americas Sales Operations team by leading analytics and data science initiatives that transform complex business data into actionable commercial insights. Drive advanced statistical analysis while developing predictive models and machine learning solutions to optimize sales performance and enable data-driven decision making across LATAM markets.
Partner with sales leadership to identify analytical opportunities and translate statistical findings into practical business strategies that drive measurable revenue growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and implement statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics solutions for sales forecasting, pipeline optimization, and customer behavior analysis
Build automated data pipelines and reporting systems using Python, R, SQL, and business intelligence platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, Databricks)
Lead data science projects including customer segmentation, pricing analytics, and churn prediction to support commercial strategy decisions
Manage and ensure quality of enterprise sales data across CRM systems and analytics platforms, implementing data governance best practices
Analyze sales performance metrics and market trends, delivering actionable insights and recommendations to sales leadership and management teams
Develop custom analytical frameworks and business intelligence tools that enhance commercial decision-making and competitive positioning
Mentor and guide analytics team members, fostering technical skills development in statistical analysis and business intelligence tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance) to identify analytical requirements and deliver integrated data solutions
Drive process improvements through data-driven insights, optimizing sales methodologies and operational efficiency across the region
Qualifications
Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field
5-7 years of experience in data science, business analytics, or commercial analysis roles with increasing responsibilities
Proven experience managing small teams or leading analytical projects with cross-functional stakeholders
Strong proficiency in statistical programming (Python, R, SQL) and machine learning techniques for business applications
Hands-on experience with business intelligence platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Databricks) and data visualization best practices
Solid understanding of commercial operations, sales processes, and revenue optimization principles
Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical findings to business stakeholders and management
Experience with data pipeline development, ETL processes, and database management systems
Relevant certifications in data science, analytics, or project management preferred
Multilingual capabilities (English, Spanish, Portuguese) strongly preferred for Americas region support
