# Working with Know-How Apps

Know-how Apps are applications provided by the KAC role that enable a company to assist designers and engineers in performing the design and engineering tasks as efficiently as possible.

Know-how Apps enable companies to model and capture their best practices and know-how by embedding them in customized apps. These apps are then presented to end users alongside the standard apps available in the Compass.
