# CAD Integrated Design Optimization and Uncertainty Quantification

This document discusses the uncertainty quantification methods of **3D**EXPERIENCE Process Apps’ that aim to integrate a parametric CAD/FEA simulation model into a unified, connected and consistent **3D**EXPERIENCE environment.

CAD integrated design optimization and uncertainty quantification (UQ) have become increasingly popular. The ability to bring a parametric CAD/FEA simulation model into a unified, connected, and consistent **3D**EXPERIENCE environment, combined with **3D**EXPERIENCE Process Apps’ uncertainty quantification methods, enables a more concurrent and data-driven product development lifecycle. This document aims to demonstrate these capabilities by demonstrating a complete workflow from CAD to 6σ of a fuselage panel.
