Charles Edelstenne is the founder and currently Honorary Chairman and Director of Dassault Systèmes. He was Chairman of the Board until January 9, 2023 after having subsequently occupied the positions of Manager (1981-1993) and then Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (1993-2002).

He is also Chairman of Groupe Industriel Marcel Dassault.

Charles Edelstenne is Honorary Chairman and Director of Dassault Aviation as well, after having occupied the positions of Vice President responsible for economic and financial affairs (1986- 2000), General Secretary (1975-1986) and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (2000-2013).

In addition, Charles Edelstenne is, among others, Director of Thales and Carrefour (listed companies in France) and Honorary Chairman of Gifas (French Aerospace Industries Association)

He holds a chartered accountant qualification.
