## URBAN RENAISSANCE : Yiyun Kang x Dassault Systèmes in Seoul

As part of The Only Progress is Human campaign, Dassault Systèmes shares through **Urban Renaissance** its ideas for the ideal city. In doing so, we want to raise awareness to the challenges of urban citizens, representing 2/3 of the world population by 2050, and inspire others to create sustainable solutions for the future.

That is why we invited Korean artist Yiyun Kang to recreate in a **3D video-mapping** our vision of the city of tomorrow. This artwork is projected on an emblematic monument of the city, the DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza), that has been designed by **Zaha Hadid Architects using our solutions.**

## About the Dongdaemun Design Plaza

The DDP is a multi-cultural complex located at Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, that has been **imagined & created by Zaha Hadid Architects using CATIA**, one of Dassault Systèmes' product design solutions.

Officially inaugurated on March 21, 2014, it is now a major urban landmark in Seoul with a **neofuturistic design** thanks to its mushroom-like structure made of steel, stone, aluminum and concrete.
