The company’s production site in the south of France, Laboratoires M&L, embraced Factory VTaaS to optimize operations while prioritizing employee well-being. As a result, a Dassault Systèmes service, based on DELMIA solutions, was developed and operated with L’OCCITANE en Provence, consisting of a factory virtual twin of the Lagorce facility and its production lines to monitor and prevent occupational health hazards. ## (CS) How L’OCCITANE Is Building a Factory of the Future With Factory VTaaS ## Improve Workstation Ergonomics ## Improve Workstation Ergonomics The Lagorce site has over 200 employees of various ages, where 60% were women while 40% were men. The goal was to assess individual postures at workstations to find out the risk of joint or musculoskeletal issues and how different genders could be affected. The Dassault Systèmes team computed airflow data – air renewal, air recirculation, outside air supply and air outflow based on the 3D models of the facility’s architecture. The study aims to understand the increase in temperature of certain areas on the shop floor and how it affected the comfort of the operators. Utilizing Factory VTaaS, thermal simulations of the environment, including heat-radiating equipment, were carried out at different times of the day.
