[Lean manufacturing](/products/delmia/collaborative-operations/lean-manufacturing "Lean Manufacturing") refers to a methodology that focuses on minimizing waste within manufacturing processes while maximizing productivity.

**Lidar Sensors**

LiDAR, which stands for Light Detection and Ranging, is a remote sensing technology commonly used in robotics. It works by emitting laser beams and measuring the time it takes for the light to reflect off objects and return to the sensor.

**Machine Learning**

Machine learning (ML) is a branch of artificial intelligence which enables software applications to learn without being explicitly programmed.

**Manufacturing Bill of Materials**

Manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) is an inventory which contains all the raw materials, parts and assemblies required to produce a specific product.

**Manufacturing Control Tower**

Manufacturing control tower (MCT) is a supply chain concept which provides centralized data management capabilities in production process.

**Manufacturing ERP Software**

[Manufacturing Enterprise Resource Planning software](/products/delmia/delmiaworks "DELMIAWorks") helps manufacturers increase production efficiency by providing the end-to-end visibility needed to keep improving their processes. Identifying and eliminating waste, cutting non-value-added processes, and removing the roadblocks to revenue growth are a few of the many benefits it provides.

**Manufacturing Execution System**

Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is a core component of the overall DELMIA Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) scope. According to the ISA95 standard, MES roughly corresponds to the production dimension set of capabilities.

**Manufacturing Operations Management**

Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) enables companies to handle all operations across their manufacturing enterprise via a single, unified solution that operates as a highly configurable manufacturing platform.

**Master Production Schedule**

[Master production schedule (MPS)](/products/delmia/supply-chain-planning-optimization/master-production-scheduling "Master Production Scheduling") is a centralized manufacturing plan commonly used for calculating the capacity and resources needed for production of individual commodity.
