Course Objective

This course explains how to set-up road vehicle models and introduces Simpack’s Automotive elements (tires, roads, steering controllers, etc) and the Automotive Demo Wizard Database.
The course covers the following topics:

  • Overview of Simpack Automotive Elements
  • Overview of Automotive Demo Wizard Database (parameterized Simpack Substructures)
  • Simpack Wizard
  • Simpack exercises:
    • Set-up of a simple car model and simulation examples
    • Set-up of a complex complete vehicle model and simulation examples
    • Simpack Wizard examples

The course is divided into lectures and workshops. The course's workshops are integral parts of the training. They are designed to reinforce concepts presented during the lectures. They are intended to provide users with the experience of running and trouble-shooting actual simulations.

Who should attend and prerequisites

Simulation analysts and engineers who will prepare multibody models of road vehicles (cars, commercial and agricultural vehicles) in Simpack will benefit from attending this class. Before undertaking the course, you are required to have completed the Introduction to Simpack training course.
