The success of many structural designs requires a thorough understanding of both the thermal and mechanical response of the design. Temperature-dependent material properties, thermally-induced deformation, and temperature variations all may be important design considerations. In this seminar you will learn how to use the coupled thermal-stress analysis capabilities available in both Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit.

This online course is a customized subset of the Heat Transfer and Thermal-Stress Analysis with Abaqus course.
Who Should Attend
If you do not have experience performing heat transfer analyses with Abaqus consider reviewing the relevant sections of the Abaqus manual before attending this class, such as "Uncoupled heat transfer analysis," section 6.5.2 of the 6.11 Abaqus Analysis User's Guide and "Conductive, convective, and radiative heat transfer in an exhaust manifold," section 5.1.5 of the 6.11 Abaqus Example Problems Guide.
What is Included
Electronic copies of the training notes will be provided to each registrant for their personal use. Every registrant will also receive a copy of Abaqus Student Edition. No additional Abaqus licenses will be provided, so to ensure that you can perform all the workshops fully you will need access to a licensed copy of Abaqus.
