ENOVIA VPM V5 Connection transfers engineering design data from ENOVIA VPM V5 to the ENOVIA Manufacturing Hub. It closely integrates Product design departments (using ENOVIA VPM V5 and CATIA V5) with Product Manufacturing departments (using ENOVIA Manufacturing Hub and DELMIA E5/V5). ENOVIA VPM V5 Connection transfers the following information: - Product structure - Product attributes - Document data - Configuration/Effectivity data - CGRs - Direct ENOVIA vault geometry access in V5 applications The data transfer may be performed either interactively or via a batch program. Further, the Manufacturing Hub may be updated in four ways: - Always transfer the complete product structure - Do not transfer the complete product structure, but selected sub-assemblies only - The Partial Transfer Mode supports the transfer of very large product structures by assembling them from smaller pieces - Incremental Transfer Mode
- Transfer only those changes since a given date - Transfer a very large product structure by splitting it into several smaller sized exports by specifying a customizable 'block' size. The supported objects in ENOVIA VPM V5 are: - Product Root Class (PRC) - Part master, part version, item instance - Assembly relations (i.e. product structure) - Product Class (PC) - Substitute parts - Transformation matrices - Bounding boxes - Document Master, Document Revision, Document Iteration
- CGR filename - CGR geometry CGR file creation through DMU Utilities - Document name - Document ID Allows Vault access for DELMIA V5 clients - Effectivity-related objects
- Effectivity on assembly relations - Product Specifications - Category, option, specification - Multiple effectivity domains Further capabilities include: - Type mapping
- Attribute mapping
- Update management and protocol
- Filtering
