ENOVIA VPM Connection transfers engineering design data from ENOVIA VPM V4 to the ENOVIA Manufacturing Hub (IPD). It closely integrates Product design departments (using ENOVIA VPM V4 and CATIA V4/V5) with Product Manufacturing departments (using ENOVIA Manufacturing Hub and DELMIA E5/V5). ENOVIA VPM Connection transfers the following information:
- Product Meta-data
- Product structure
- Product attributes
- Model/Document data
- Configuration/Effectivity data
- Product Geometry
The data transfer may be performed either interactively or via a batch program. Further, the Manufacturing Hub may be updated in two ways:
- Full Transfer Mode
- Always transfer the complete product structure
- Partial Transfer Mode
- Do not transfer the complete product structure, but selected sub-assemblies only
- The Partial Transfer Mode supports the transfer of very large product structures by assembling it from smaller pieces

- Link information (i.e. product structure)
- Transformation matrices
- Document, Models
- CGR filename
- CGR geometry
- Effectivity-related objects
- Effectivity on links between parts
