Role Description & Responsibilities:
As a BIOVIA Cheminformatics Intern, you will support the development of advanced chemistry applications and scientific software solutions:

Contribute to the implementation and validation of cheminformatics functionalities within Pipeline Pilot
Support the development of high-performance chemistry search and molecular analysis tools
Participate in the design and optimization of algorithms for molecular modeling and drug design
Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to ensure software reliability and performance
Engage with Product Management and customer-facing teams to support product evolution
Contribute to innovative research projects with potential for publication

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Computer Science, or related scientific field (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD)
Strong programming skills in C++ (additional languages such as Python, Java, or C# are a plus)
Solid background in chemistry or related scientific discipline
Knowledge of object-oriented design and software development methodologies
Familiarity with Agile development practices is a plus
Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Exposure to advanced cheminformatics and drug design technologies

Salary Pay Transparency

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $22 and $40 per hour.
