The center is housed within the **Center for Automation and Robotics Research (CARR)**, representing one of KLE Tech.’s “Star Labs”. The **Center for Automation and Robotics Research** has successfully implemented a virtual twin of a smart assembly line, composed of cobots conveyor systems and automated storage and retrieval systems. It supports many local industries, mainly in Computer-aided engineering, and serves as an interdisciplinary innovation hub where advanced tools and methods inspire the [**next** **generation of engineers**](https://3ds.com/edu/education/students). It has rapidly emerged as a leader in educational innovation, leveraging cutting-edge technology to foster hands-on learning. The center has **three main objectives** to ensure their researchers and students remain at the forefront of **industrial innovation**: First, it drives research excellence in areas like smart manufacturing, virtual twin and human robot collaboration. Second, it supports students’ skills development in cutting edge technologies through hands-on experiences, and third, it fosters collaboration between industry and academia. The **3D**EXPERIENCE platform’s capabilities **inspire innovation** by covering the entire project lifecycle—from modeling and simulation to validation and virtual commissioning. For example, KLE students uses it to design and execute a smart manufacturing assembly line project. The project featured multiple robots for pallet handling, a conveyor system, and an automated storage and retrieval system, creating a practical, functional demonstration of modern manufacturing systems.
