Buyer's point of view
Well, my dad was a great classic car enthusiast, and I inherited that from him. My main business has been designing and manufacturing electronics. So now the two fields have come together, and I can design a classic electric car.
I wanted to create my own car. Hence the bug 2e which is going to be more of an urban supercar. To get good performance in an electric car, you need to keep the aerodynamic drag low.
Luckily while googling, I came across the Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE Make marketplace.
I was able to put the parts up on there, and the difference, this time, was that the manager called me back, and we were able to have a proper conversation about what I needed, which is reasonably unusual.
He came up with recommendations, and as a result of that, I've managed to get the end-use 3d printed door. It's given me the confidence to go on and get a lot of the other parts quoted on the platform, such as the lights, and even more complicated in metal and plastic is the scissor door hinge.
We are experts in the production of technical and functional plastic parts. We own more than 50 machines, with more than 30 materials available.
2 of the reasons to work with us are:
- Firstly for, the just-in-time logistics. As companies don’t want to manage stock anymore, we are able to produce a small series of parts quickly to respond to this new demand.
- Secondly, in the new trend of Reshoring, in several cases, we were able to compete with Asian manufacturers on the pricing side and timing, thanks to 3D printing.
Thanks to the 3DEXPERIENCE Make Marketplace from Dassault Systèmes, TH Industries is able to reach new customers in France or abroad, to use the notoriety of Dassault Systèmes, and to get better flexibility and traceability on all projects.
