Product Overview

DELMIA Process Context Builder 1 provides tools to define and load the persisted 3D Manufacturing or Volumetric Context. It also provides powerful tools to compute on-the-fly a volume-filtered Manufacturing context for a process plan. It’s an add-on product to DELMIA-Work Instruction Composer (WKC) for the authoring of the context and complements DELMIA-Shop Order Release 1 (SO1) for the extraction to the shop floor of context related data.

DELMIA Process Context Builder 1 (PC1) provides the following

  1. Load persistent 3D Manufacturing Context and Volumetric Context in both DELMIA-Work Instruction Composer (WKC) and DELMIA-Shop Order Release 1 (SO1) products
    • The manufacturing context and volumetric context could have been computed and persisted on the process-plan via V5 client side context or the Manufacturing Hub server side context using product DELMIA Process Context Builder (PCR) product.
  2. Define and save Volumetric Context on the loaded Process Plan in DELMIA-Work Instruction Composer (WKC).
  3. Compute and load for volume-filtered Manufacturing context on-the-fly in both the DELMIA-Work Instruction Composer (WKC) and DELMIA-Shop Order Release 1 (SO1) products.
    • User will also be able to apply 3D States and Position (defined via V5-DPM) on the Context Products.

DELMIA Process Context Builder 1 (PC1) delivers to the user of DELMIA – Work Instruction Composer the capability to compute and filter the desired context, based on the state of the product assembly at a given stage of the process plan or the surrounding parts.

DELMIA Process Context Builder 1 (PC1) assists the work instruction author in the creation of more relevant work instructions.  Normally, only the parts assigned to a specific step of the process plan are displayed when using DELMIA – Work Instruction Composer (WKC).  PC1 allows the user to quickly include all the relevant parts that have been assembled up to the current step in the process plan in the WKC session.

When used with DELMIA Shop Order Release 1 (SO1), DELMIA Process Context Builder 1 (PC1) will automatically enhance the SOI data with the calculated manufacturing context data defined by the work instruction author.  This aids the shop floor worker by delivering work instructions with all the relevant geometry.
