DELMIA Human Task Simulation 2 (MHT) is a powerful human modelling tool used to create, validate, and simulate activities for "workers" using the DPM planning and simulation infrastructure. Workers perform these activities within the PPR environment where they may walk to a specific location (across floors, up ladders, down stairs) based on time parameters defined by the user, move from one target posture to another, as wells as pick and place parts in the work area by following the movements and paths of objects. These activities can be combined with DPM Assembly activities to analyze the relationship between workers and other entities within the simulation. They can be simulated and validated using the powerful process simulation capabilities within DPM, allowing the user to test multiple alternatives for the work humans must accomplish in a specific manufacturing, maintainability and assembly environment. Workers can be imported as a resource or a product. It is advised, however, to import them as resources as typically they are going to be performing the process and are, therefore, acting logically as resources for this process. This is particularly important in the context of the Resource Centric Model introduced in R10, which aims to make the process of creating, storing and re-using task simulations far more intuitive. More than one worker can be imported for a process; parallel activities can be created and simulated using the Human Task Simulation 2 (MHT) workbench. A worker (manikin) must have already been created in the Human Builder 2 (MHB) product and saved as a CATProduct file. In the case of Human Task Simulation 2 (MHT), the target is to create a process that will apply to worker activities. In a walking activity, the worker must walk on a surface to support its steps as it walks to a target. Such surfaces need to be imported as resources in the PPR tree. Other resources could be tables or fixtures on which the user will position parts and tools, and the tools the worker needs to use to perform the task. It is possible to save manikin attributes and activities inside Catalogs . Human Task Simulation 2 (MHT) was introduced as a new General Availability (GA) product in V5R9 and has been incrementally advanced over all subsequent releases. It represents an important component in the Resource Modeling and Simulation paradigm within the DELMIA V5 suite of solutions. Human Task Simulation 2 (MHT) addresses the needs of manufacturing engineers, process planners, maintainability engineers and concept designers from the aerospace, automotive, plant design, heavy engineering, ship building and electrical goods industries. Human Task Simulation 2 (MHT) requires that Human Builder 2 (MHB) is installed and licensed. In addition, MHT is also effectively used in conjunction with Human Measurements Editor 2 (MHM), Human Posture Analysis 2 (MHP) and Human Activity Analysis 2 (MHA) for advanced detailed digital human creation and analysis, improved human comfort, performance, and safety. These products are combined with DPM assembly (AP2) to create a fully integrated manufacturing and assembly solution. In addition, MHT is available an an integral part of the Human Modeling Complete and Human Basic Activities Marketing Bundles. This BFS is to be read in conjunction with the following DELMIA BFS documents that describe the standard procedures for creating, manipulating and analyzing worker manikins and assumes the user is familiar with the DELMIA suite of V5 DPM solutions. | |
