ABEL CORREA, Head of IT Strategy and Project Governance at Arvind Limited

Abel Correa is currently holding the position of Head of IT strategy and Project Governance at Arvind Limited with key responsibility of developing IT Strategy for all the Retail verticals and project delivery models to provide sustainable IT for high growth business of Retail within Arvind Group. In his 25+ years of experience he has worked in many of the US based global companies leading product development and Consulting practice for Retail and SCM. In his 25 years of experience he has gained knowledge of business spanning from Yarn to Apparel in the store. Prior to Arvind Limited, Abel spent 6+ years in JDA Software and close to 8 years with Ashok Piramal group rising up from Head of IT to become the Group CIO which entailed execution of IT strategy for Retail, Textile, Real Estate and Engineering business of Ashok Piramal Group. He has written a text book written for IT in Retail for IGNOU and has been teaching for little over a decade in some of the top management colleges of this country including S P Jain and Wellingkars. Abel completed his management development program on Aligning Strategy and execution from Harvard Business School. He is a passionate leader and believes in continuous education to be a detail-oriented manager in aligning technology to business goals.

GANESH SUBRAMANIAN, Founder and CEO at Stylumia Intelligence Technologies Pvt. Ltd

Ganesh Subramanian, a versatile genius, has travelled through the entire value chain of Fashion Industry over last 20 years. His first professional stint was with Coats Viyella Plc. handling fibre to thread, second stint was with an Indo-Italian joint venture high quality fabric manufacturer for International premium brands, moving from thread to fabric, he was then associated with heading supply chain of leading Branded Fashion houses in India, then took part in launch of Tommy Hilfiger in India. He was part of the start-up team of Reliance Retail. He moved onto head the fashion business of Wal-Mart in India and later associated with, India’s largest Fashion Online store – a division of Flipkart. As Head – New Initiatives of Myntra, Mr. Ganesh is responsible for bringing in best in class, new processes and systems that help the core operations providing consumer right selection, differentiated in curated looks and deliver a consumer experience through supply chain and logistics. He was also instrumental in onboarding 700+ brands on to the portal and in launch of five successful private labels – Roadstar, Dressberry, Kook and Keech, Anouk and Break Bounce. After the successful stint at Myntra, Ganesh took a shot at entrepreneurship with Stylumia Intelligence Technology, a data-driven technology to analyse fashion trends. Stylumia helps fashion retailers prepare the next season’s collection based on evaluation of consumer behaviour. The company aims to help fashion and lifestyle businesses take decisions on the basis of data mined from user behavior and social media activity, among other tools. As an author, Ganesh has 4 titles on Amazon that provide deep insights into Fashion buying and merchandising. He currently lives in Bangalore with his family.

KRISHNA KUMAR (KK), - Founder and Managing Director at Simbus Technologies Pvt. Ltd

Krishna Kumar – fondly known as KK, is a technology entrepreneur with 20+ years of experience in the Fashion Retail Industry. An MBA from India’s prestigious management school, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad,His prominent stints include Head of Supply Chain Management for India’s largest fashion apparel company, Madura Garments; CEO of apparel export division of India’s largest textile company, Arvind Mills and Founder CEO of Apparel Business of Piramal Group, one of the largest Industrial groups in India. His skills include supply chain management, PLM, Retail Planning, Balanced Scorecard strategy models and Lean Six Sigma. KK is a featured speaker in several industry forums sharing his experience in supply chain management, technology and strategy. He also served on several committees of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and is also an advisory board member of India’s premier fashion management college, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bangalore. A dynamic personality, KK is known for his strong relationships in this industry and ability to create strong teams and build successful enterprises. His unique blend of decades of functional expertise, consulting and technology makes him the man most sought for transformational projects and systems.

Marc Oliver Nass, Senior Manager, Business Experience Consulting, Consumer Goods and Retail

As Senior Manager at Dassault Systèmes, Marc is responsible for the Business Consulting for Consumer Goods & Retail in EMEA. He has close to 20 years of experience as Project Manager, Business Consultant and Solution Architect guiding implementations of global PLM and Sourcing Solutions in the Fashion Industry, among other at adidas, H&M, Galeria Kaufhof, Mammut Sports Group, s.Oliver. He is specialized in consulting Fashion customers how to overcome their business challenges inside their product creation and sourcing value chain using information technology. Before joining DS Marc worked several years for KPMG Consulting and adidas. He holds a master degree in engineering from the Technical University of Hamburg in Germany and an execMBA from École de Ponts in France.

Mike Ghasemi, Research Director IDC Retail Insights

As Research Director for IDC Retail Insights Asia Pacific, Mike Ghasemi is responsible for production, development and growth of the IDC Retail Insights program covering technology needs and trends in the retail industry. Mike is also responsible for driving the overall direction of the retail industry research in Asia Pacific and integration with global IDC Retail Insights. In addition, he leads the definition, creation and production of IDC market intelligence solutions for countries across the region. Before joining IDC, Mike spent 15 years in the IT industry, with 10 years in retail information technology software solutions. He has worked in senior management and leadership positions with multinational and local companies across the region and has been extensively involved in the retail industry from IT solutions positioning to advising national and regional retail associations on technology trends and road map. Mike is one of the founding council members of the International Association for Enterprise Information Security and also a member of Singapore and Australia Institute of Management and a recipient of Deloitte Enterprise 50 Award. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as an MBA from De Montfort University, UK.

Aa senior professional with over 20+ years of diversified experience in the retail value chain across apparel & textile sector. He has been working in various leadership role with diverse areas of expertise in Manufacturing, Retail Operations, Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Global sourcing, Innovation, Sustainability and Knowledge Management. Naresh Tyagi holds Doctorate in Chemistry; and Advance Management Program from UCB – Berkeley (BEPM). Naresh Tyagi is currently working with Madura Fashion & Lifestyle (Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd) as Head of Product Development, Quality Assurance & Technology function for all the brands and categories. Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail is one of the leading fashion retailer with marquee brands called Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England & People in fashion portfolio. Naresh has been associated with Madura Fashion & Lifestyle since 2008. He has been involved in various industry platforms like Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Consortium of Green Fashion, Indian Retail Forum, Textile Association etc. for promoting innovation and creativity in textile and apparel sector. He has initiated some of unique collaboration tools like Green Channel Partnership, PRAC, Higg Index, PLM, CVRS etc. in textile/apparel sector which are well recognized in many industry forum. Prior to Madura Fashion, he has worked in various industries across South Asia and his previous assignment was with ITC Limited - Lifestyle Retailing Business Division as Head - Product Development, Quality Assurance & Technology. Passionate about promoting innovation and competitiveness in textile and apparel sector, he has been instrumental in establishing some of the cutting edge concepts on Product Technology, Knowledge Center and Product Lifecycle Management and has been a process evangelist to adopt best practice in business line in his stints.
