Typically, the speed of post processing in Abaqus/Viewer is more than satisfactory for most models.  But for larger output databases, there may be specific settings that can improve performance. In general, the size of the output database depends on several factors such as model size, number of output frames, number of output variables, and the amount of history or diagnostic data. In this webinar, some of the topics we’ll discuss are:

  • The options available in the visualization module that can improve the performance in Abaqus/Viewer.
  • ODB reconstruction tool to reduce the size of large odb by selectively removing the data.
  • Network ODB connector to access an output database on a remote computer, which will eventually maximize the graphics display performance in the Abaqus/Viewer.

The webinar is ideal for analysts who work mostly on post processing and deals with large files.
