Overview

Moldex3D-FEA Interface helps users introduce process-induced properties, such as fiber orientation, into structural software such as Abaqus, to optimize part structure designs.

Topics will include:

  • Directly translate output, including material properties, into an Abaqus input file format
  • Output solid meshes of parts, final warpage shape, fiber-induced anisotropic mechanical properties, residual stress, temperature and flow pressure
  • Automatic mapping of output to mismatched meshes including from first order to second order elements
About the Presenter

Mr. Jeff Kloberdanz graduated from University of Michigan with a B.S.E degree in Engineering Physics with concentration in Mechanical Engineering. Jeff has been with Moldex3D since 2010, and is currently working as an Application Engineering in Moldex3D Northern America office.  He is an experienced AE in Moldex3D and has conducted more than 100 consulting projects in plastics molding, some of his key accounts include Ford, NVIDIA, Toyota, etc.
