Tim has spent his career building, teaching and managing revenue growth opportunities in market leading ventures and established corporations. Companies such as Dow Chemical, Penn Mutual Insurance, Dassault Systèmes and SmartPak LLC use Tim's expertise to aid in their growth strategy and creating incremental client value.

Currently, Tim serves as President & Chief Operating Officer of Breakaway Innovation Group, a hybrid strategic consultancy, creative agency & venture capital firm. Tim’s expertise spans across investment banking, sales management, and brand building. 

Tim also spends a substantial amount of energy teaching executive education and renowned sales and entrepreneurship classes at Babson College. His class delves deep into case studies and real world sales scenarios, teaching business students and executives how to ask questions to create value-added solutions in every stage of a sale. As a Harvard MBA graduate and a former Babson undergraduate, Tim deeply understands how to motivate the students and executives towards being revenue-driving forces in their careers.

Tim has held a handful of executive roles in his career. Prior to joining Breakaway, Tim founded Altus Marketing and Management, a full-service marketing and events agency. Tim has also served as Senior Advisor at the Fenway Sports group where he led the acquisition of the Salem Avalanche, a single A baseball affiliate in the Carolina League. Tim was also the EVP of Sales and Client Services at Marquis Jet, where he led and built the sales and client management organization. In his tenure, Marquis Jet revenues grew from $135m to $495m in just four years. Prior to Marquis, Tim spent nine years as a senior executive at Gartner Group. Tim grew the sales organization to over 300 sales and support staff with revenue growth from $70m to $275m in four years. He then lead the company's worldwide business development function acquiring over 25 companies in 10 countries.  

 

Over seven years at Xerox, Tim held numerous sales and sales management positions. His responsibilities ranged from a territory sales representative, major accounts management and product management prior to sales management. During this time, Tim qualified for President’s Club seven straight years and his performance was in the top 1% in the country each year.

Tim truly enjoys digging deep into business models and motivating teams to execute a shared vision. He believes that ethics are beyond reproach and shows the utmost compassion towards his students, clients, and business partners. Tim's sales operations, inside and direct selling and sales management expertise is in technology, financial services and consumer industries.

Tim is an 11 time finisher of the Boston Marathon.
