Your Mission:
The Vice President, Solution Consulting leads the Solution Consulting team for the assigned market segment. The VP is responsible for the overall effectiveness and utilization of the team.
Experience leading a pre-sales organization within a SaaS business model supporting technology platform solutions
Good understanding of GTM organization models to support various sales processes and engagements
Lead organizational transformation to drive global pre-sales optimization and scalability
Lead direct customer engagement to drive solutioning and complex sales processes
Ability to drive Professional Services solutioning and positioning
Your Competencies:
10+ years in a senior sales engineering/management role with proven success
Ability to work with diverse groups of people; challenge and lead people toward their peak performance
Excellent communication skills – written and oral
Ability to communicate complex ideas
Strategic and forward thinker
A highly analytical approach, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Strong project management and financial awareness skills
Your Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Marketing, Communications, or related field
10+ years’ experience in solution consulting/pre-sales engineering.
Life sciences industry and/or clinical development area strongly preferred
Experience in 2nd line leadership leading an organization of 50+ employees
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $201,250- $269,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $213,750- $285,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $184,500- $246,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $182,250- $243,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $184,500- $239,423.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
