What Will Your Role Be?

As a Sustainability Specialist, you seek to build a better future for the planet. You are a trusted professional who recognizes challenges as opportunities to provide positive sustainable business practice outcomes.  You thrive on delivering comprehensive and simple solutions alike and are willing to document and share your successes for repeatable implementation by others. You are not afraid of research or learning new skills and inherently know when to seek advice for complex situations.  You are self-directed and capable of managing day-to-day sustainability operations and implementations against competing priorities and projects. You demonstrate a positive demeanor under pressure and are proficient at delivering & presenting your results effectively throughout all levels of the organization.

 

  • Developing sustainability business plans, policies, training and protocols in support of corporate directives
  • Build systems, processes and improvement plans to sustain ISO 50001 Energy Management System
  • Utilize proven business acumen to collaborate and negotiate with multiple internal / external resources to achieve and maintain ISO 50001 certification
  • Establishing internal and external relationships, exercising effective negotiations
  • Organizing project processes from planning stages through to completion to deliver functional sustainability based equipment installations
  • Prioritize and manage sustainability objectives while delivering results
  • Deliver proactive modern solutions to improve sustainable business practices
  • Creating repeatable success through employee engagement and process documentation
  • Demonstrating and applying your expertise in business process, administration and application
  • Learn Dassault Systemes systems, processes and procedures

Your Challenges Ahead

  • Ability to prioritize and organize high volume workflow and follow a project through to completion ensuring attention to details and highest level of accuracy within required timeframe
  • Facilitate decision making, approval and communication process for local and regional team members related to corporate sustainability efforts
  • Ability to read and interpret floor plan documents and construction documents (including blueprints)
  • Create efficiencies, and empower internal team members in the successful implementation of sustainability programs and key initiatives
  • Assist in the development of plans and protocols to ensure coordinated facility sustainability practices and services where necessary
  • Support planned projects and ad-hoc projects throughout the year
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Real Estate and Facilities Operations
  • Familiarity working with a large portfolio of office spaces across North & South America

Team and Corporate

  • Positive, self-motivated individual with a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and share knowledge in a team environment
  • Create and maintain systems to streamline the collection of monthly and annual environmental and performance metrics leveraging metrics and data to report on progress and build business case for sustainability projects and investments that advance sustainability and business goals
  • Ability and willingness to self-teach new software functions, and facilities knowledge and processes; coaching and instruction will be provided, but we want someone who goes after knowledge
  • Affable and collaborative teammate who thrives within an inclusive team and company where individual choices are respected and supported
  • Highly organized with critical attention to detail, along with good time and priority task management
  • Team player attitude and approach with demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships throughout all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate a high degree of customer focus internally and externally

Your Key Success Factors

  • BA or BS in Environmental Sustainability Management, Sustainable Design, Business Management or related discipline preferred or equivalent education plus experience managing comparable sustainable business operations
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning and design
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project development and management, with a priority given to sustainability integrated with office development and construction.
  • Understanding of routine Real Estate & Facilities Operations
  • High degree of customer focus for both internal and external customers
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Team player with demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships throughout all levels of the organization
  • Capable and proficient in the use of various building management control systems
  • Competent and efficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to navigate platform based software programs

Compensation & Benefits

Dassault Systèmes offers an excellent salary with potential for bonus, commensurate with experience.
