Your Mission: 

• Configure customer solutions leveraging the Acorn commercial data platform in accordance with customer specifications

• Contribute to evolving team standards and best practices for configuring data pipeline solutions 

• Author and maintain complex SQL stored procedures that govern data pipeline business rules

• Ongoing data warehouse maintenance, change management, and performance tuning 

• Build and Configure dashboards in Tableau and/or Power BI according to customer specifications.

• Research issues and devise corrective actions 

• Enhance and drive existing database development practices and processes towards best practices 

• Mentors teammates and assists peers with debugging complex defects

• Capable of identifying gaps and/or ambiguities in solution requirements and can refine acceptance criteria with business team

• Proactively seeks long term scalable and extensible solutions

• Able to own and resolve the vast majority of production issues independently

• Able to quickly switch from project to project with minimal ramp up 

• Able to complete standard day to day tasks with little to no supervision 

Your Competencies: 

• 2-3 years database development experience

• Experience with the management and transformation of data to serve analytical purposes 

• Ability to thrive in a team oriented environment

• Strong technical, estimating, design and analytical aptitude 

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and problem-solving skills 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral

Your Education & Experience:

• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, MIS or other quantitative fields and demonstrable, relevant work experience

• Knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI or similar BI tool is a plus

• Life sciences and data analysis exposure is a plus

• Experience with Advanced and Predictive Analytics is a plus

• Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: Python, C# and Powershell
