This position is based at Dassault Systèmes Solutions Lab Private Ltd, Pune. In this role you will:
- Provide advanced technical engineering advice on using the Abaqus finite element analysis program and 3DEXPERIENCE analysis applications as part of our technical support staff
- Demonstrate the capability of the SIMULIA product suite to current and potential customers
- Develop technical marketing material that demonstrates the use of Abaqus and other SIMULIA products to solve challenging engineering problems
The work involves a collaborative effort with engineers and technologists at SIMULIA regional offices, customer sites, and with our development, sales, and product management teams to deliver robust state-of-art numerical solutions. Our customers include some of the leading companies (both large and small) in the application of finite element analysis to engineering problems in all industries, from aerospace and automotive to electronics, biomechanics, civil engineering and many others.
This is a challenging position for engineers interested in applying their mechanics and numerical modeling knowledge to solve real world problems while working with the most advanced finite element program available.
Requirements:
- PhD degree in Engineering (with emphasis on Solid Mechanics and Finite Element Analysis), or M Tech with at least 5 years experience doing finite element analysis in a production environment
- Strong background in Solid Mechanics, FEA and Structural dynamics (Concepts and theory)
- Knowledge and understanding of linear and nonlinear structural finite-element modeling
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of and experience with Abaqus is a plus, particularly in a production environment
- Experience in the areas of nonlinear structural mechanics and structural dynamics is a plus
Experience with ANSYS, MARC, NASTRAN, or LS-DYNA are considered valuable
