The role is responsible for testing products, with some supervision, to reveal the quality and risk-related information with the intent of informing a decision.
Identify tasks/ dependencies/ risks during backlog grooming/planning.
Provide reasonable test estimates.
Provide feedback on priorities.
Fully understand and actively provide ways to improve project/solution level test strategy/test design principles.
Contribute to the evaluation of testing tools/techniques/strategies.
Contribute effectively to the development of a project's test strategy and automation suite.
Collaborate with developers/business analysts for feedback on software design and tests.
Implement Context Driven Testing and Session-Based Test Management, with minimal supervision.
Participate in the adoption of modern test practices across the team.
Assist with effective test reporting and learn how to contribute with team and stakeholders to ensure CI/CD pipeline has thorough test coverages.
Contribute effectively to utilize an automation framework for testing and the creation of test scripts (different automation test layers such as UI or API Acceptance Tests)
Understand and apply practices to increase test effectiveness with minimal supervision.
Suggest relevant improvements to the processes and procedures
Participate in the adoption of new processes and improvement initiatives
May participate in the hiring process.
Identify gaps in the current automation suite and help prioritize those / get them into the backlog.
Test using team test practices and principles with minimal supervision.
Work through problems with minimal supervision.
Able to present own ideas to other teams on your product
Assist in Diagnosing issues.
Contribute to identifying and addressing the risk(s) based on the impact assessment.
Participate in fostering a team environment
Learn and apply knowledge gained from industry forums, blogs, presentations, and papers.
Share testing/product knowledge with other team members.
Support, participate or collaborate with team members representing Medidata at external forums.
Ability to understand and execute Context-Driven and Session Based testing with minimal supervision
Ability to contribute to the development of project test strategy.

Your Education & Experience:
2 to 5 years relevant job experience
Typically requires related experience and a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience)
Some experience with collaborating with offshore team members
Experience in Docker is a plus.
Experience with RESTful API
Experience with SQL and databases
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkin, GoCD, Travis, and/or others
Experience working with large web applications and complex microservices platforms
