Your Mission: 

• As an Applications Engineer & Agile Team Member:

• Be a hands-on contributor involved directly in the development of Software Applications

• Participate in technical conversations sharing your knowledge with the team

• Believe in good engineering practices and uphold high coding standards

• Awareness of well known design patterns and how to use them

• Collaborate in troubleshooting the production issues and provide possible workarounds and solutions in a timely manner

• Work positively and productively with other developers, Test Engineers and Business Analysts

• Be an active team member in Agile meetings; contribute in Scrum Artefacts

 

 

Your Competencies: 

• Experience in at least one technology from our stack: Scala, Java (preferably Java 8 or above), Akka HTTP, Node.js, React, Redux

• Good technical experience within an Agile development environment

• Knowledge of using Databases (mySQL, or other relational databases)

• Awareness and advocate of TDD and BDD

• Thrives in a team environment and has strong people communication skills

• Be a problem solver - find creative solutions for tough problems

• Prepared to challenge the status-quo - propose multiple solutions with pros and cons

 

 

Your Education & Experience:

• Typically requires strong related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or a Master's degree; or equivalent work experience
