Your Mission:
As part of the Sales Compensation Team under Human Resources, the Sales Compensation Senior Analyst will have a key role in shaping incentive compensation strategy, driving transparency and effectiveness of compensation plans, and building a strong consultative relationship with the global sales organization. The individual will partner with HR associates and other departments (Finance, Sales, IT, etc.) to serve as the subject matter expert for all compensation plan metrics, analytics, and data strategy. The role will have a heavy business facing presence as it relates to compensation, but will also maintain and ensure quality control as a key owner of the incentive compensation management system.
Oversee and execute the creation, implementation, and development of new compensation plans for the sales organization on an annual basis and adhoc basis for newly hired reps.
Manage timeliness and quality of recurring and ad hoc reports in support of monthly and quarterly sales compensation.
Collaborate with Sales Compensation Team colleagues to help define the Sales Compensation business model in support of optimizing associated technologies, policies, processes, and tools.
Collaborate with HR and other related business and vendor stakeholders to help further develop an end to end Incentive Compensation Management system. The analyst will utilize user feedback and analytics to help shape process improvement, drive strategy, and champion process excellence.
Work with HR colleagues and related stakeholders to develop/refine the Incentive Compensation Management tool and help shape the future of Sales Performance Management for the organization.
Interact with end users to better understand incentive compensation issues and provide recommendations to help improve the incentive compensation process and strategy.
Your Competencies:
Experience with CRM (Salesforce) and Incentive Compensation Management Tool (Callidus Cloud, Varicent, Xactly, etc)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Access
Knowledge of sales operations
Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Cognos, Tableau, and/or scripting languages like SQL or SAS strongly preferred.
Your Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; Advanced Degree preferred or equivalent years of experience
3-5 Years of experience in a hands on reporting analyst type role required
Sales Compensation functional experience
Project management experience
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $66,000 – 88,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
